Delivery Gone Wrong....!! Need some advice

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and had hoped my first post would be on a positive note. Unfortunately not the case. :mad0260:

I traded-in my 2013 X3 back in October 2014 and ordered a 2015 M235i to arrive in April... I'm in the north so this was to be a summer car only for me. It arrived about a week ago and I made arrangements to take delivery yesterday. The car looked perfect, we went through all the delivery routine, and off I went...

I wasn't ten minutes down the highway when suddenly I get this warning across my Nav screen that says: "Engine oil pressure is low. Safely pull over and turn engine off immediately or risk engine damage. Call Roadside Assistance ". I've got the wording slightly wrong, but this was basically what it said. Has anyone had a similar message on their M235i? I couldn't find any in the threads.

Long story short, after getting my brand new car towed back to the dealer (lovely BTW ), they tell me they're not exactly sure what the issue was. Diagnostics say it was a fautly switch and/or a valve that has to do with the oil delivery system... But they checked both and said they were ok and working. However, they ordered new ones to replace them anyway. They said the engine was not damaged. They went on about the technology in these cars and hyper-sensitive sensors, etc., etc. And that I shouldn't be concerned. Wrong. I am concerned. I told them I don't want the car, and that I want them to order me a new one. Shockingly... they said they would. They were very embarrassed about the situation and seem willling to do whatever it takes to make it right. I'm a repeat customer and they obviously value my business.

In the end, they gave me a loaner car for the weekend and asked that I think it over. They say the car is fine. But they understand my concern and how this delivery was a total bust. Another option they offered was adding some sort of extended warranty coverage to put my mind at ease. It seems they're willing to go above and beyond to fix this situation.

What do you guys think? Do I have cause for concern? And how would you proceed? Order a new car and have to wait several weeks, after having already waited this long? Or take this car, and ask for warranty, cash-back, etc., etc. for all the headache?

I could really use some advice. Thanks.
