My engine is falling apart. The pistons need to be replaced. So do the valve seals and guides. Spoke with dealer who says they have come across another 2007 N52B25 engine which requires a rebuild. Warranty only covers up to £10,000 and he is having to pay an additional payment of £3,000 as apparently BMW "do not repair and would replace" the whole engine.
I tried to argue it out ith BMW UK and they say that for a 2007 engine is fair wear and tear. That is absolutely disgusting as my engine only has 57K miles and it is a design flaw.

1. Thinking of having the rings replaced etc. Not sure how much it would cost. Any thoughts or guesses appreciated.
2. Would the N52B30 be viable? I am guessing the ECU would need to be swapped too or could it be flashed? Found this: http://ift.tt/1rCy9VW I wonder if I could give them the old one in exchange. Never know with places like this... apparently 100% positive feedback but no idea...
3. Cut my losses and sell it off... feel bad if it becomes someone elses problem but hey I guess I would be honest and say it uses 1 liter of oil every 600 miles.
