This past week I brought my 2008 Bmw 335i with approx 47K miles over to Fast Lane European (San Jose) for a walnut shell blasting. I also had a clutch delay valve and short shifter installed. Also I had my spark plugs, oil change, transmission fluid change, and brake fluid flushed. I had an oil leak in my oil filter housing. Overall it was an amazing experience. My car runs 1000x better now. :happyanim: The vehicle responds quicker when I step on the pedal, and it it responds with a UMPH. Below, I have a write up of each service performed, and a little more information since it'd be a pain to summarize it in one paragraph.
1) Walnut Shell Blasting- This was the first time I had this service done, my valves were pretty dirty as you can see in the pictures below. I was having idle problems, and a laggy response when i would accelerate. After this service was performed the bad idle and response are perfect now, no more jumping up and down.
2) Clutch Delay Valve (From BMS)- This relatively cheap mod has mad a world of difference. My shifts are a lot more smoother, and there is no longer a "jumpy" feeling when I shift from 1st to 2nd. I don't know how to explain it well, but its just easier and better feeling when I shift.
3) Short Shifter (From BMS)- This has also made a huge difference for me, before I felt like i was driving a truck with the stock shifter. I also had an issue with going from 1st to 2nd for some reason when I'd shift on my stock shifter. It would always catch on something and i'd mess up my shift. Since having the new shifter, it feels smoother and has a "knotchy" feeling that I like. The shifts are shorter, and it just feels better overall.
4) Oil Change/Spark Plugs/Transmission Fluid/Break Fluid Flush- There isn't much to say about this other than the car feels noticeably better to drive, or it could just be my imagination.
Now as far as far as work/customer service from Fast Lane European . Mason is an awesome guy, he explained all the services he was going to perform and how they were going to perform them. I was also provided with a rental car since this was going to take a few days, which I find highly awesome! The work was excellent, and I have not had any issues with my vehicle. I usually have issues with the mechanic getting grease on my seat/wheel/shifter and I did not have this issue here, and I have never had this issue here. They have always treated my vehicle as if it was one of there own vehicles which I greatly appreciate. Overall this shop is amazing in quality of work and customer service.
I would highly recommend going to Fast Lane European for any work you need done on your vehicle.
