Plugging a Run Flat Tyre. Yaay or Nay?

Dreaded red symbol of doom flashed up.

I pulled over and there was a screw in the o/s/r in the T zone.

Since I was close to home I drove less than a mile on it.

My understanding is that it should not be repaired if you have driven more than 50 miles.

I am running on a Michellin Sport PS2 Zero Pressure tyres all round. It is a tyre in a tyre type design and not like a horrible Bridgestone which has reinforced side walls. There was no side wall damage to my tyre.

At £244 fitted... a plug repair sounds better.

My tyre has done around 3k miles at the moment and is down to 8mm on tread.
