228i track pack vs lease economics/runflat costs

i've been reading a few posts where leasers have been penalized for returning cars sans run flat tires. so doing a bit of thinking and math, its highly likely that on a 36 or 39 month lease that you're going to have to replace a full set of tires at least once if not multiple times. which doesnt even include the cost of replacing a runflat over a regular tire for a regular ole flat tire situation.

the difference between the cost of changing potenza rfts ($1,324 in just tires as per tire rack) and michelin pss ($774 in just tires) is almost $600.

as the cost of the track pack is $1600 when you add to the m sport or sport package, and a leaser will 'pay' for about 40% of it in deprecation costs with the generally 60% residual values on such a lease, or about $640, just the cost of the one set of replacement tires almost makes up for the difference in lease payments.
