Interesting 228i at BMW of Ontario (CA)

I was at my dealer today picking up a part and was talking to my CA. For anyone looking to get into a 2 Series cheap they have an interesting car on the lot. It's a 2014 Valencia Orange 228 no line with Tech package, heated seats, fineline wood trim, and moonroof. MSRP is $39,250 and they're quoting it online at $34,888, but I bet you could get it for something close to $30,000. The catch is that it was a factory mistake. It has Nav, but it doesn't have the touchpad controller. It has the one that comes standard with no Nav. Apparently it isn't as easy to fix it as just putting the right controller knob on it so they're having a lot of trouble moving it. If you're buying the car, it may not be a very good deal because a) it's a 2014 so it's already depreciated and b) you will eventually have the same trouble selling a "mistake" as they are. However, it would be a great lease car since you don't have to worry about resale. Who uses that ability to write on the touchpad anyway? It's just a gimmick. My wife has it in her 328 and I just asked her if she's ever used it and she said, "once". Anyway, it could be the cheapest 2 Series available anywhere so I thought I'd pass it along. If you're interested in the car, ask for Shelly Fisher. He's a straight up guy and easy to work with.
