The BMW N54 engine relies heavily on adequate boost pressure to make its impressive power figures. Without a properly functioning boost/vacuum system, power loss, acceleration hesitation, and decreased fuel economy are all likely consequences.

DFW Fender rolling/shaving?
I'm in dallas and need my rear fenders on my e92 335i shaved, don't know anyone or place that can do it.
I'm not sure that rolling would be efficient enough because of the rubber lining inside the lip itself that needs to be rolled.

E92 M3 DCT not automatically downshifting in D?
Hey all,
I've been having some troubles for a while with sporadic downshift issues when I'm driving in automatic. This usually happens when I commute to work on the highway.
Current scenario:

It has always downshifted on acceleration in the past, and this shifting behavior sporadically changed into now no downshifting at all. Because the downshifting didn't work, I almost got into an accident yesterday because the car did not accelerate quickly enough out of dangerous situation -- it refused to downshift upon pushing the accelerator pedal down.
The shop thought it might've been the steering alignment sensor, but resetting this did nothing.
Any thoughts?

- Press down on the accelerator (note: not all the way down till it "clicks" and shift to 3rd)
- Car stays in gear and surges slowly forward

Mod a 335 or get an M2
Would you spend $5000 on mods to an e90 335i xdrive or wait and put the money towards an M2 in a few years?
Curious what others thoughts are. For me the mods would be tune, FMIC, Perf Exhaust, suspension, maybe few small things later. There are somethings that one just really can't get unless it is an M car (interiors, colors, etc.) and those mods would be more than I am interested in doing. Of course we don't know exactly what the M2 will get as options yet.
I also go back and forth with the AWD chassis.
