NOOB Question about Steering Ratio

i know it's a noob question. but can we change the steering ratio?

Side Skirt Decals on Opti Coated Car

I am looking at getting the M Performance Side Skirts Decals put on my car, however I am not sure about the adhesion to an opti coated car. Would the opti coat have to come off then apply the decal or the adhesion is sufficient. Any thoughts?

Decided my father shouldnt drive anymore

He is 93 and still drives but here's the thing. In the last month he has clipped a Tacoma truck rear end in a parking lot and yesterday he took out his passenger side mirror on someone's garbage can. Its only a matter of time until something more serious happens. I do not look forward to having this conversation with him. As independent as he is, he is even more stubborn.

So what do you think? I kind of like it even though I'm not into cars extreme like that. Nothing I would like to have, I think the RS6 Avant is perfect as it is from the factory.

Spectator suffers fractured skull at Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

Wow, another incident involving a spectator

" A fan walking behind the grandstands of Sunday's IndyCar opener at St. Petersburg was struck by a flying piece of debris from a car and suffered a fractured skull.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Brigitte Hoffstetter was walking in the concession area near Turn 10 when a piece of carbon fiber from one of the cars flew over the grandstands about 100 yards from the track and struck her in the head. She was immediately treated by St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue (LEFT) before being transferred to Bayfront Health, where she remained in the trauma unit Monday night.

"It's crazy what happened," said her husband, Greg Hoffstetter, in a text message. "It could have been very bad – it's amazing she's alive."

It's unclear which piece of which car the part came from because there were several incidents during the 110-lap race that created parts of front and rear wings flying off cars.

As of noon Tuesday, IndyCar had no official statement but it's believed Derrick Walker, president of competition, stayed in Tampa to try and visit with Mrs. Hoffstetter."

Toyota Supra to drop hybrid engine, for a BMW Inline 6-Turbo?

"Corroborating earlier reports, an unnamed German source has told Car and Driver that Toyota will build a bigger model than the next-gen Z4, powered by a BMW-sourced turbocharged inline-six engine rather than the four-cylinder engine that will likely be found under the hood of BMW's roadster.

Toyota is allegedly planning to revive the Supra nameplate, making the inline-six a suitable choice to maintain consistency with the retired generations. Styling is expected to be inspire by the FT-1 concept car (pictured) that was introduced last year in Detroit."

My 2015 228i convertible x-drive is at the dealer

The wait is over tomorrow I finally get my 228i Convert. !!!!! It took 2.5 months to get here due to it was late coming over and had to be shipped to the performance center but rerouted to new jersey because I couldn't pick it up on the date they gave me!!!! But can't wait to get it and post some pics of it!!

Roundel Article - M2? What M2?

There is a new article on Roundel where Chris Doersen talks to a couple of BMW NA product dev guys about the M2. While he didn't get the answer he was looking for, I'm curious as to why he feels the M2 will get a de-tuned version of the S55B30.

He states he'd prefer a 350hp four banger, or a smaller-displacement S55, but thought the most likely engine setup will be a de-tuned S55B30. BMW would leave the door wide open for a M2 re-tuned to M3/4 specs.

At port waiting for ship

Hey guys, my car arrived at Bremerhaven port on 3/25, and has been waiting for a ship ever since. I'm on East coast US. I tried to check if the car got on any ships on the ww website and also via the BMW 800 number but no luck yet. Anyone else waiting for ship?
