Audio dilemma - Gladen one kit or Logic 7 retrofit

Hi all,

I'm debating two options for audio on the missus' E93 as it came with the Base spec stereo. My E92, which I'm getting shot of soon has the L7 kit and it's fantastic, I've always been really happy with it.

So, I've done plenty of research and have dismissed the Alpine upgrade as I suspect it won't compare quite as well as the L7 (although a big step up from Base).

Option 1 is a Gladen Extreme BMW speaker kit with the 120.4 DSP to go into the E93, with fitting/coding to HI-FI it's coming to a tidy £950ish plus. Possibly worth adding a 2nd amp to power the underseat woofers separately too....

Option 2 is swapping the L7 kit from my E92 into the E93 which itself is a fair bit of work and I suspect would run me to around £400 - £500.

I'd also have to appraise the stealer I PX the car to (debatable) or new buyer if I sell privately (definitely will tell them) as I'd feel a bit shady selling on the car if someone has VIN checked the spec and is expecting L7 in the E92, it's just plain dishonest.

I'm not really good enough on the fiddly stuff to be confident to do the work myself so would definitely pay for it to be done.

Even just writing this I think I'm talking myself into the Gladen kit.

I'd really appreciate any opinions. Has anyone compared the L7 with the Gladen kit and got any comments?

Also, could anyone recommended an installer for the Gladen kit and coding. I'm in the London/Kent area but don't mind travelling a bit for quality work.

Cheers,

Andy.
