hey guys sooo ive been trying to chase this boost leak that im not sure entirely exists lol. my vacuum at idle is -18 cold and then -20 after about 45 seconds to a minute..seems fine..my boost is shooting up to 10 psi and then dropping off pretty quik..sometimes from 10 to 5 or sometimes from about 8 to 6
im not running any tuners..mods include bmw power kit, custom intake ,and vsrf cp and tial bov (11psi spring)
bov sounds kind of light and i can def here a suction sound a second before the bov sounds off..seems like it was sucking in unmetered air some how by the sounds of it but why would my vac be good i did notice that the intake piping that connects to the rear turbo all the way in the back of the engine bay seems like i may have nocked it loose when installing the intake maybe? seems to wiggle a bit and i noticed a sensor there? barometric sensor? maybe lol ? im wondering is anyone thinks maybe that pipe being loose is causing that sensor to trip out during hard acceleration and trick itself into overboosting and then underboosting ? kind of confused ? unmetered air? i know this was a book soo i appreciate anyone whos taken the time and could speculate on this with me thank you
