335i xdrive 6 speed vs. Model S P85 @ 6700 feet

So, over a series of stoplights, from a dig, I happened to encounter two people in a Tesla Model S P85 at 6700 feet altitude. I figured "There is no way I am going to win this." They're electric, have instant torque, perfect launches, and no gears to contend with.

Turns out at 6700 feet I either quickly reel them in if they get the launch on me, or if I get a good launch, I pull away immediately from low speed through 80 mph and beyond. This is despite having a manual transmission.

We were both rather enjoying it. I was enjoying it because I finally got to see how badly I would lose to a P85 (to my shock I did not). They were enjoying it because a dirty stock-looking 3 series sedan on a slightly raised suspension and stock 17 inch wheels was pulling away from their car.

I have no idea how fast my car must be at sea level if this is what happens at altitude.

The mods I had at the time:

FBO + 50% E85, basically. The car feels much slower at altitude, however. Butt dyno has been disappointing over the past few days I've been driving at this altitude. So sluggish! So, I am shocked that I could pull away from a P85. I've driven those and they're insanely fast.

Granted it was still a pretty close race.
