Dear customers,
The newest version of BPMFlash software released 12/29/2014 requires a firmware update in order to properly interface with your vehicle. This applies to all BPMSport Tuning cables delivered before 12/29/2014.
The following steps will show you how to obtain the new software, and update the firmware on the cable for continued use.
**Please note - this is NOT an update to the engine software itself, and no flashing of the vehicle is necessary. This is an update to the cable/PC interface only.
Latest software versions:
BPMFlash (for engine tuning):
http://www.bpmsport.com/files/BPMFlash_Install_New.exe
BPMShift (for transmission flashing):
http://www.bpmsport.com/files/BPMShift_Install_New.exe
Cable Update Utility:
http://www.bpmsport.com/files/BPMCode.exe
Please download BPMFlash and the Cable update Utility and save them to your desktop. Customers that have the DCT software should also download the latest BPMShift installation as well.
Steps for update (you do NOT need your vehicle present - only your PC computer and the cable):
1. Download the files as noted above
2. Plug in the tuning cable to a USB 2.0 port and wait for windows to recognize the device. The device LED should be slowly blinking green
3. Run the BPMFlash Installation setup wizard and continue through the setup
**Note: Windows 8 and 8.1 users must disable driver signing before this step!
4. Open BPMFlash by clicking Finish after the setup, or by opening it from your desktop
5. Agree to the license agreement, and click 'Next' three times
6. After it reads the hardware licence and coding, an error will pop up indicating that the device is locked. The cable light will then begin flashing green rapidly.
7. Click OK to the error and close BPMFlash
8. Open the BPMCode.exe file to unlock the device.
9. A black windows will pop up and indicate "Coding OK!"
10. Press any key to close the window
11. The cable should return to blinking slowly green
The firmware is now updated and the cable is ready for use. Please contact us with any questions.
