For some of you Im sure, without m sport line for our cars basically you're screwed for modifications. So I couldn't deal with that. I have installed an active auto exhaust(axel back/catback, whatever you would prefer to call it) on my non-msport 228. It was originally for the f30 328 but has been retrofitted.The installation was not difficult, there was only 1 modification, which was to have the pipe between the muffler and tips cut about 3 inches to fit snug up against the bumper. No movement of hangers. The overall reaction i had was right at my expectations. The tips are larger, and compliment the car very well. The sound of course, is great. Cold start is a tad on the loud side. Although it's subtle for daily driving, when you open it up, the tone is very pleasing. There's upshift sounds, small backfires when downshifting, miminal drone. This exhuast is pretty much everything I hoped it would be. I have a few pictures while spending my life savings at IKEA.
