I got a call earlier today and my jaw about hit the floor.
It was my sales person calling with some very interesting news... When my car was shipped via rail from Montreal to Calgary it was apparently stuck in an ice storm on the east coast. The shipping company or whoever decided it was a good idea to use a de-icing solution on the vehicle. It was later determined this solution has the possibility to cause corrosion. BMW has decided to recall and destroy these affected vehicles.
My car is to be surrendered and I am to be provided a loaner (I stipulated an M4) while a MY16 is being built to replace my '15.
Since purchasing the vehicle I have invested money in stall costs for several performance parts, tinting, etc... I'm just not sure how this is all supposed to work out.
Meeting with the dealership this week, I'll keep you posted.
