Offset - I don't understand :(

Looking for some new wheels and want a bit more of an aggressive look, so wheels more flush with the body.

Can someone give a quick explanation of offsets. Is a lower number more aggressive? I'm confused. (And a bit thick!)



Is this any different for a deep dish wheel? Or does it not matter?
