My car is getting repaired in a few weeks due to a collision. My car was parked and then hit from behind and pushed in to another car. The damage was pretty minimal. I got the completed estimate today that was also sent to the other person's insurance company. It was quoted at around $2,100. The person giving the estimate said they would probably just take the bumpers off, repair them, and put them back on.
My question is, if I had them install M3 or M-tech rep bumpers that I purchased separately, do you think I would have to pay anything out of pocket and if so, how much? Most of the cost on the estimate seems to be for labor, so if I provided new bumpers that just needed to be painted, wouldn't that significantly reduce the labor cost?
Fortunately, I've never gone through this process so I'm a bit of a beginner.
Also, if someone could recommend a set of bumpers for a pre-lci e90, that would be great.
