I have m235i with high beam assistant. The website and literature (and youtube) show the system as utilizinf the dynamic lighting to surround cars in fron and drop the left oncoming lane as cars pass.
Mine, however, is simply on or off. On completely dark country roads there is auto high beam on . . but when cars approach or i approach from behind, it simply turns off High beam. After slight delay, will go back to high beam, but not "dynamic" as advertised.
I have adaptive headlights, and in case it mattered i tested while the lane departure was locked onto lines, in case that was part of the adaptive dipping logic.
Does anyone else have simiar experience or perhaps the proper experience? I did not see any advertised differentiation based on the series (2 series vs. 3, 5 etc.).
