The first Edison Concours dElegance, to be held October 18, 2015 (9:00 am to 4:00 pm) on the historic grounds of Glenmont, the home of Thomas A. Edison, will be a spectacular event showcasing the best examples of classic cars from around the world. The Edison Concours, will be unique as it will be held at Glenmont, a National Historical Park, which is set within Llewellyn Park, the first planned community in America. Llewellyn Park was founded in 1857 and many of the great homes owned by Edison's neighbors, the Colgates, Stetsons, Chubbs and the Mercks, still stand within the park's idyllic 400 acres of landscaped woodlands.
The Edison Concours is an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of over 90 classic cars and Llewellyn Park and, at the same time, to explore and connect with some of our nations history of innovation and allow all to learn about our rich automotive heritage. The planners of this event are working with sponsors, volunteers and the Township of West Orange to produce this event, which will benefit three very worthy non-profit organizations: The Edison Innovation Foundation, The Llewellyn Park Preservation Foundation and The West Orange Scholarship Fund.
