Black Dakota Leather Fail

So today I was cleaning my black Dakota leather drivers seat and unfortunately found these ware holes which shocked me because honestly out of the past 5 cars I've owned with leather, cloth whatever never did this. The car is almost a year old this month. I'm at about 15k on the odometer. Its disappointing because everything else about this car is quite good I love it. I hope BMW does right by this. If I have to pay for this when I return it off lease I will be pissed. I want to get the M2 after this I hope it comes with better leather.
Anyone else encounter this?
