Comfort Access not working after repairs from car being rear ended

Hey Guys, I wanted to check in and see if anyone could offer some advice to help me resolve my issue rather than having to deal with the shop we had the car repaired at. At this point I just want to deal with them as little as possible as I have not had a positive experience. Worst case I will take it back in and hope they can resolve the issue.

As you may know the car was hit in the rear end. The rear bumper, trunk, passenger rear fender, passenger tail light, rear pdc sensor, and many other parts located below these were damaged and replaced. When we took the car in to begin repairs the CA was working just fine and had been for a few weeks after the accident(the car was drivable after being hit so we waited a few weeks to begin repairs so that the owner could pre-order parts which he of course did not do). Now that we have gotten the car back the comfort access does not allow either door or the trunk to be locked or unlocked with the sensors in the handle. We have to push the button on the remote to do these functions. Furthermore the car does not beep when the doors are locked or unlocked when pushing the button on the remote. For this issue I have checked the Idrive menu, and the option to make the car beep is selected. The car does start with the key in the pocket, but I believe I read that all cars do this weather they are equipped with CA or not.

My guess is that there is some sort of sensor or antenna in the trunk that was removed and not reinstalled correctly that is causing the entire system to not work. If anyone has any idea what could be causing these issues please let me know. If I can fix it myself I will, or at worst I will at least know what to tell the guy when I take it back in.

Thank you guys for any help!:)
