I don't post much, so hopefully I'm in the appropriate forum. I'm looking for words of encouragement on both sides.
I'm very tempted to buy a 2016 M235i X-Drive - Estoril Blue, Tech Package, Driver Assist, a Driver Assist Plus, Cold Weather, HK Audio, and a couple of other dealer accessories on the sticker. MSRP is $55,515.
Right now my DD is a 2010 BMW 335 X-Drive coupe (67500 miles, sport pkg, premium pkg, navigation, cold weather). Definitely love it, but that M235i in Estoril Blue just does it to me. I just bought my 335 about 14 months ago and owe $21,500. Dealer is offering me $18,000 for trade, and with tax break (6.5% in my county), it brings the trade value to $19,170. I put nothing down on the 335 when I bought it, so I feel I'm doing pretty decent on the trade value.
Regarding price on car, they are willing to do it at invoice taking the sale price to $51,714 (I might be a buck or two off - I know it was $51,700ish). So with the negative equity in my trade (factoring tax break) I'm still around $1,500 under sticker.
I feel that their price is pretty aggressive in that I haven't seen many folks get the M235s at invoice on this forum. Give me some thoughts - good price? Bad idea? Make the jump to M235 or enjoy my 335? Give me some words of encouragement!
