Hi All,
Was looking for some advice on insurance.
In July 2013 I bought a 2011 (registered Jan 2012) E90 M3.
I insured with BMW Insurance/Allianz, I had the essentials package but dropped the hire car and replacement windscreen option. The premium was approx $1,600 and excess $1,500 for accident and $5,000 for theft.
I have just received the renewal and the premium is approx $2,400 with no change to the excess. Given the $800 increase with no other change in circumstances I have obtained a couple of other quotes.
Youi came in at $2,400 then said they would go to $2,100. I then tried NRMA who I have the house insured with and they have come in at $950!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that is correct but that is what is coming back.
The only factor I really care about is that I can choose my repairer and reading the PDS that seems to be the case.
Am I missing something really basic here and does anyone have any experience with NRMA, it has the feeling of being to good to be true.....
I have attached links to the NRMA and Allianz PDS, both say can choose repairer and the policy around new, genuine parts seems to be sufficiently vague in both.
Allianz relevant page numbers 36 & 37 (actual page number on doc, not electronic PDF page number) and NRMA 73 & 74 ( again actual page number on doc)

Apologies if links don't work using IOS not PC
Any advice welcome
Cheers
