Rather than continue the old thread, I thought I would post this quick note about the setting I settled on for best performance.
I tried about 20 different settings (there are a possible 89 maps/permutations to chose from) and most triggered the check engine light. The people at RaceChip US have been excellent to work with - very patient and informative.
I settled, so far, with S1-F, S2-E. In comfort, the throttle response is impressive, linear and smooth. In sport, the acceleration is even more impressive - powerful.
My last fill up netted 29.4 mpg (manual calculation), equal city and country roads.
I tried a lot of recommended settings from others and from RaceChip, and in fact, the setting I am using is "less" than the stock setting. Therefore, higher is not better. The combination of the two is the key to getting the best performance. Since my car responded extremely well to these settings, it is clear one tune does not fit every car. That's why there are 89 maps in each chip.
Have fun exploring.
