My 2008 328i Cab with 152,000 km on it has started acting up in the morning. When I start the engine, it turns over and quickly stalls. I have to repeat this several times until it finally starts to run. After that, it's fine the rest of the day. My Indy had the car in his shop almost a week and is stumped. He had it scanned and the following codes popped up during cranking:
2A45, 2A77, 2A3F. As soon as the engine started to run evenly, these additional codes appeared: 2A37,2A47. He replaced the original battery....no difference. Pulled out the computer and ran a diagnostic......nothing wrong with the computer. Checked Vanos solenoids......ok. Checked battery cable (was recently replaced under recall).....checked out ok. Fuel pump also checked out ok. He is suggesting the problem could be electrical. Anyone else out there with a similar issue and hopefully a fix?
