While waiting in the showroom to speak to the salesman I bought my 15 month old 320i from earlier this year I checked out the 4 series. "Interested?" he asked. I said "Nah, i really need the rear doors" I answered. "Ah, just the thing for you coming in the summer" he replied.
So, here we are and i've been offered an hour long test drive in a 420d xDrive Gran Coupe with sport auto box tomorrow.
Now having told me the best time to seriously discuss a deal to replace my current car is when it's 2.5 years old he assures me it's a no obligation test drive just because they happen to have a demo.
However.... is he going to try and sell me one? I think it's highly unlikely there's any equity in my current car yet as the hit i've taken on new value won't have been covered yet.
Any similar experiences?
In truth when i do look to change i'll probably look to save my pennies and try for a 430d.
