Well what a thoroughly annoying experience my local dealership have given me for what should have been a very simple service/tyre change.
Car booked in for its 40k service and asked for the two front tyres to be changed as they were due, they had the car all day so no pressure from me. They had also asked specifically which tyres were on the car (Bridgestone Soo1's) and said they were available.
Called early afternoon to say car is done come and collect, saw car on forecourt and no new tyres.
Very apologetic service girl admitted their mistake and said did I want to wait or come back, I was busy so agreed to come back, they said my Bridgestone tyres had been put aside and as such no issues.
Fast forward a week and all goes to plan until I go out to take car away and they have fitted Pirelli P7 tyres, now I have mismatched tyres front to back...not happy as I am very particular about tyre choice.
What compounded my anger though is the fact the service girl went off to discuss with service manager who filled her with a cock and bull story about these tyres not being currently available from Bridgestone.
Clearly they have fitted my tyre allocation to another vehicle, or thought fleet vehicle we will fit the lower spec Pirelli tyres.
They have advised they will order some more tyres in the correct spec, but they don't know how long they will take to come in...
I think the biggest thing that has annoyed me is the lies as one minute my tyres are available, next they can't get them from Bridgestone.
Being interested to hear your views on this experience and if you think I am being unreasonable or not?
