Currently Own: 2011 335i Coupe XDrive
Current Sound System: Stock Base Unit - 2 front door, 2 rear, 2 under-seat, NO TWEETERS (6 Speakers Total).
My Experience: None. Never installed any car audio system upgrades
My Thoughts: I can't stand the underwhelming sound in this car. I listen to Trance, Progressive House, Hardstyle, and Hardcore music only, and I am getting robbed of feeling the heavy clean base and euphoric melodic highs of the music which I listen to. I have decided to upgrade and after some research have come up with the following:
1. Stage One, BMW E92 10+ Base Audio
2011 BMW 335i / 335is / 335d Coupé Base (Stereo) E92
Front Door Tweeters (2) BAVSOUND 25mm Silk Tweeter
Front Door Midranges (2) BAVSOUND 100mm Offset Mount 3-Leg Midrange, Integrated Filter
Rear Side Panel Midranges (2) BAVSOUND 100mm 3-Leg Midrange
Hardware & Wiring (1) Original BMW E92 Front Tweeter Housing - Left
Hardware & Wiring (1) Original BMW E92 Front Tweeter Housing - Right

2. Under-Seat - Earthquake Sound SWS-8Xi 8-inch Shallow Woofer System Subwoofer (2-OHM)
Note sure if it makes any difference if I were to get the 4-ohm or not?

3. Amplifier:
a) Pioneer GM-D8604 Class FD 4-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier
http://ift.tt/1h90Zaz
OR
b) JX1000/1D - JL Audio Monoblock 1000W RMS Class D Amplifier
http://ift.tt/1rbT7bD
Any thoughts on which one I should buy. Any recommended alternatives?
4. AMP Install Kit: KnuKonceptz KCA Complete 4 Gauge Amp Installation Kit
http://ift.tt/1rbT53t
5. Sound Deadening: Dynamat 10435 12" x 36" x 0.067" Thick Self-Adhesive Sound Deadener with Xtreme Door Kit
http://ift.tt/1h90ZqY
Should I get more, or will this be enough for the doors and rear speaker area, with some left over for the trunk? I guess I can always order more later.
6. Optional: Pyle PLPR210A Dual 10-Inch Slim Design Powered Enclosure System
http://ift.tt/1e1miGT
I actually got this sub for free from my friends brother. I was told it has a fairly tight sound. Might be over-kill but once installed I guess I can just disable it if its to much BOOM & Pow!!
QUESTIONS for the Knowledgeable:
1. Any glaring omissions or choice errors in my set-up? What would you change, add, remove?
2. I may try to install this myself, but if it doesn't work out then I'll be going to a shop to have it done. I'm in the Detroit area so I'll be going with either
A) Car Tunes: http://ift.tt/1h90Zr2
OR
B) A2 Motorsports: http://ift.tt/1h90Zr6
How much would an average shop charge for a complete install? All, speakers, subs, and sound deadening? I have no frame of reference, so if anyone has an idea in the ballpark rage it would be very helpful prior to me contacting the shops.
Thanks for any input guys
