I previously had a E70 with sports suspension - no variability.
I now have a F15 with Adaptive comfort suspension.
The car soaks up bumps and handles perfectly well in Comfort mode and I keep it in this 95% of the time. Its great. You get used to the new steering really quickly.
When I turn to sport, the steering and the suspension firms up and it feels like it is on rails, certainly better than the E70. Its also great!.
As not many of us take our cars capabilities to the limit, I feel that if you drive around with suspension on comfort you get used to the handling, and when you switch to sport you notice and appreciate a marked difference. Likewise if I drove in sport all the time, when I switched to comfort I would notice a marked improvement in ride quality.
Im sure that the DHP and adaptive drive give the same impression, its the ability to change the settings thats important, not actually what the end point of that change is - as long as there is a difference.
I wondered whether the adaptive comfort suspension would be worth it, as would you always be wondering what to have it switched to, I am really pleased I chose it as now for the majority of the time its in comfort, but if I do fancy a sporty ride I can swap, its like having two cars!
