2005MY e90 330i SE manual; Black Sapphire Metallic

2005MY e90 BMW 330i SE 6-speed manual, 2996 cc inline 6, 254 BHP, Black Sapphire Metallic (475), build-date 27/05/2005.



Just over 109,000 miles, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic and fitted with the 3.0L in-line 6-cylinder N52B30 254 BHP engine, full black heated "Dakota" leather interior.



Full BMW dealer service-history (except last service which was carried out at January 2014 at Motor Technology 2001, Dundee, independent factory-trained BMW-specialists at 107,437 miles; genuine microfilter, oil-filter and correct oil used as per BMW guidance; Castrol Edge Professional 5W-40 FST LL04; next service (oil) due in approx. 16,000 miles; the oil and filter were changed by the dealership prior to me purchasing the car but for peace of mind I had these changed again for genuine items when the car was serviced in Dundee). The car was purchased in November 2013 from a dealership in Bolton and came covered by a “Silver level” Warrantywise warranty; valid until November 2014 (possibly transferable to new owner although I have not looked into this). I looked at several e90 330i’s and this one ticked all the boxes as far as overall condition/fitted-options/mileage went and I felt the premium for an M Sport model was just not worth the extra over this which is the SE model. I am the fourth-owner since the car was new.



Two weaknesses on these models are the fuel-filler vent-pipe which can rub where it’s routed through the bodywork leading to potential fuel-leak if the tank is brimmed (genuine BMW upgraded pipe cover/sleeve was fitted upon purchase of car from dealership; invoice available) and the water-pump (known to commonly fail at around 95,000-110,000 miles; replaced in 2013; invoice available). The car has also had its spark-plugs and 1 x coil-pack replaced during its lifetime. Later 330i’s had issues with their injectors failing but as this is one of the earlier cars, it is unaffected by these issues. The alloy-wheels, which are the desirable optional staggered-width 8” (et34) & 8.5” x 18” (et37) ellipsoidal Style 162's, were all refurbished by the dealership at their cost prior to me purchasing the car and are fitted with good run-flats all round (with at least 5mm tread remaining).

BMW Style 162 alloy wheels, Leder Dakota/schwarz (LCSW) i.e. Dakota black leather, rear park distance-control, multi-function steering-wheel, electronic cruise-control with brake-function, brushed aluminium interior (fine) trims, smoker-pack (ashtray), USB/AUX-sockets in front centre-armrest, BMW Professional 8-speaker sound-system, auto air-conditioning, heated front driver/passenger seats, rear centre-armrest, anti-dazzle auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rain-sensing auto wipers, auto headlight washers, auto headlight control, auto under-handle LED courtesy lights (exterior light-pack), driver/passenger footwell courtesy lights (interior light-pack), remote auto open/close windows from keyfob together with remote boot-release and lock/unlock (comfort-pack), factory-fitted alarm/immobiliser, larger export fuel-tank capacity, colour-coded exterior trim, provisions for BMW 6 CD changer in boot, outer skin-protection (Supaguard or similar I presume).



Since I purchased the car in November 2013 I have carried out the following works:



New Bosch S4 battery with 3-yr warranty, new OEM-spec brake-discs, brake-pads & ABS-sensors c/w wear-indicators all-round (February 2014), privacy windows-tints (30 % front/70 % rear), upgraded front/rear BMW badges & black grilles, darkened side-repeaters, upgraded number-plate/headlight/sidelight/foglight bulbs, new genuine air-filter element fitted, new genuine BMW Performance Dark-line rear light-clusters, genuine replacement upgraded LCI (life-cycle impulse i.e. facelift) interior switchgear, new genuine M Sport leather interior parts (wheel/handbrake, gearknob & gaitor, new replacement interior brushed-aluminium dash/interior door-trims, new interior centre-console trim/ashtray, new rear heater vent-controls/replacement-surround, replacement updated BMW Professional head-unit (manufactured by Alpine; original had the old rubber-style knobs and several lines/dead-pixels), complete replacement of both front headlight washer-jets/pump/jet-covers (all using genuine parts), replaced exterior front/rear door-pillar trims (genuine), resprayed front/rear-bumpers/side-skirts/mirror-caps, M Sport (genuine OEM) colour-coded (painted at Cotswold Hereford BMW) rear tailgate spoiler fitted & M-Sport style front corner splitters fitted & colour-coded & remaining paintwork machine-polished (all works carried-out at Graham Dawson Bodyshop in Aberdeen), pin-dents removed by Dent-Devils (19/07/2014).



Extras: Privacy glass all-round, upgraded LCI interior-switches, new genuine M-Sport leather steering wheel/handbrake-handle/gearknob & gaitor, BMW Performance front grilles, BMW Performance Darkline rear light-clusters, darkened side-repeaters, carbon-fibre effect badges front/rear, M Sport OEM rear tailgate-spolier, M Sport style front corner-splitters, upgraded rear number-plate LED bulbs/headlight bulbs/fog & sidelight bulbs, rubber floormats, new BMW first-aid kit (genuine), new BMW jack, jacking-pad and torque-wrench (all genuine).



I will also include 2 x sets of brand-new replacement upgraded headlight bulbs, a brand-new set of black M Sport logo’d carpet-mats, a genuine carbon-fibre wrapped centre-console (c/w ashtray), a set of brand-new unfitted Heko tinted wind-deflectors and pair of brand-new registration-plates, all at no extra cost, included in the purchase price (extras worth £200+). All original parts that were removed to fit upgraded/replacement items are also available and will come with the vehicle for the advertised price.



Also negotiable (at extra-cost on-top of purchase-cost of vehicle) is a set of staggered 8” (et37) & 8.5” x 17” (et34) genuine BMW 194M Sport alloy wheels fitted with basically brand-new winter-tyres, 225/45 R17 Nexen Winguard Sport (fronts) and 255/40 R17 Vredestein Wintrac Extreme (rears) costing £700 total (I would however include these with the vehicle providing the full asking price is met, otherwise I will be open to offers after purchase).



I have covered just over 2,000 miles since owning the car; the car has been washed/polished on a weekly basis when I've been home from offshore, kept fully garaged when not being used and has also just been professionally fully-valeted/HD-waxed ready for its new owner. It has never been smoked-in. The car has wanted for nothing and is in amazing condition for its age/miles and drives absolutely spot-on, it’s easily the most comfortable car I’ve ever owned, being smooth, powerful and comfortable; if I could keep the car I would but running five cars would just be too much and I will be genuinely sorry to see it go. Short of M Sport suspension springs, black window-trims, sports front-seats & M Sport F+R bumpers this is a 330i M Sport. Price may seem a little high, but there are no other 330i SE's with this spec in this condition for sale anywhere that I can find.



I have both sets of original key-fobs c/w with new genuine BMW leather key-rings and the spare plastic emergency key. All original factory-manuals (in the leather-wallets) & documentation are present and correct along with all invoices received since I have owned the car together with a few invoices from previous owners. Please note: The cherished registration is excluded from the sale and the car will be sold with the originally assigned registration. The documents have now arrived back from DVLA (inc. replacement tax-disc) and new registration-plates are already made-up and are in the garage ready to be fitted to the vehicle.

Montrose is a small town located on the main east-coast trainline and just off the main North/South A90 road; situated just half an hour away from Aberdeen International airport which is just over an hours cheap flight away from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Norwich etc. I can collect buyers from the local train-station or the airport (by prior arrangement only). I am away on holiday from 2nd - 8th September inclusive, so car unavailable for collection between these dates.
