So in the course of building my E90 I was scrounging everywhere I could think to find a very clean, low mile engine. I had feelers out and found a great looking 10K motor from BW that I had the rod bearings / bolts upgraded. That motor is in the car and it started right up - sounds great. Still have not driven it, but very promising.
Anyhow - turns out a very close friend at a BMW dealership found another motor and purchased it for me not knowing I already had one. This one is from an 09 and has under 800 miles on it! It is crazy how clean the valves are... The motor was pulled at the BMW dealership - apparently the owner wanted to go with a built motor instead. Must be nice...
I am going to keep the motor until I get about 1000 miles on the engine I have now just to make sure all is well, but after that I don't need one sitting in my shop. Anyone have an idea the value of this thing? It is a complete long block without intake. I will get some pictures when I get back in town.
