I had a diesel induction service performed on my 335d about two months ago at a BMW dealer in the area. This service was of the variety of pushing cleaner through the air intake system, and not the more involved walnut blasting, or chemical cleaning of the manifold.
No SES lights, or other issues ahead of the service. As the car was at 50,000 miles, I thought the service may help prevent more costly soot related issues down the road.
About a week ago, while getting onto the interstate, I pushed the car a bit more than normal, and instantly got an SES light for:
4C7C - Reducing Agent metering valve actuation
3FF1 - Air flow meter signal / Air mass meter
4868 - Air system, EGR
Visited the dealer and had the air mass sensor, charge air temperature sensor, and SCR metering value replaced.
Wondering if these sensor / injectors were affected by the diesel induction service knocking stuff loose and clogging up sensors and injectors. Also wanted to know if an oil change ahead of schedule is recommend if the cleaning added to the soot load of the oil?
Thankfully, have the extended warranty, so the 700 mile over factory warranty for this issue was not major $$!
