Guys doing ED, you can rent a car at Sixt at the airport and drop it off at BMW Welt at no charge.
I arrived the day before M4 pickup, rented an M550d at Sixt and left it at Welt the next morning.
M550d is an incredibly balanced and quiet highway cruiser, ideal city/daily driver. Great engine/exhaust note. Massive torque and effortless overtaking in the city.
But of course it gets boring when you want to have serious fun.
Too bad they don't sell them in US, but actually 535d (530d EU model) in US is quite close and lighter, so feels just as fast up to ~60mph. So I'm very happy with my 535d + M4 combo.
