Purchased what I thought would be OE cabin filters from Amazon.

Not OE.
Came with no directions, no arrows indicating air flow, nada. Seller tried to be helpful, but didn't know much and won't be able to confirm until German manufacturer responds.
Only thing I have to go on is the fact that the BMW filters have a horizontal plastic strip across the filter at the top and bottom (as you're looking at them during install or removal). Same story for these replacement filters. Outlined the plastic strips roughly in red in the image below. Opposite sides of both filters lack those plastic strips.
Here is the manufacturer and part number.
Anyone have experience with these filters?
Would prefer not to return them. Fitment is actually spot on, seem well made. Edge of the filter is a sponge material that looks to create a very effective seal.
Thoughts on my plastic strip orientation theory? All I've got so far...
Thanks
