Hi, I have a E92 with the base professional head unit with upgraded Earthquake subs, Wanting to improve on things further I changed the front door speakers for MTX RXC4.1 components with the mids mounted on metal speaker rings and the tweeters mounter in to BMW OE mirror sails.
The crosovers are mounted in the doors and feed from the OE wiring coming through the door.
I've tested the mid, tweeter and crossover and all work perfectly but when wired up to the OE headunit theres no sound from the tweeters, its as though the frequescy output from the headunit is cut off lower than the crossover pointfor the tweeter on the crossover?? Do i need to take a signal feed for the crossovers for the front speakers from somewhere else in the car or directly from the headunit its self?
