M3 or 335?

So I'm currently driving a 2009 328i xdrive, auto. I want to get into something more powerful and am really looking for an M3 (2008 or newer), but I've seen a lot of similar-year 335's with a manual tranny and xdrive....I'll be using this car mostly for pleasure and the occasional autocross. would be interested in getting the forum's opinions? Also, what are your thoughts on sedan vs coupe? I really like the way the M3 Sedan looks...
