new dirac settings

So if anyone is like me who feels Dirac is a bit too ear piercing at high volume with high frequency and a bit low on bass as volume goes up then try settings. I've learned a lot as I'm going to add an amp to power my OEM woofers but in mean time I've learned the weak points of system and while trying for more bass I think many take wrong approach.

These settings only work at Lloyd volume. Mid volume the highs are way more mild and need to be set higher.

100 -1

200 +2

500 +2

1khz 0

2kh -2

5khz -2

10khz -2

Treble in middle and bass + 2 or 3. Surround off. Fader middle.

Before I was increasing the 100 and 200 signals by +3 and bass at 4 or 5.coupled with high frequencies at 0 or +1.

I found the weak point of our woofers are at 100hz and under so turning that down will make more power available for the 100 -200 area which gives nice strong mid bass. With 100 turned high I was getting distorted non crisp sound. The other key is turning down the 3 high frequency controls drastically helps overly high freq at high volume and believe it allows for the amp to more effectively power the woofers since less power is going to mids and highs. With 100 setting at -1 or -2, you get power in the area where this woofer shines which is 100-300. Overall I get a stronger bass from this than when I had bass crankedup and 100 setting on + 1 or 2.

Looking forward tto adding external amp to give further power to the OEM woofers as I've not seen anyone do this with the Dirac. May be a very cheap way to get great bass as long as your not looking to listen to rap or heavy low bass. In meantime I'm enjoying the Mich crisper kick of mid bass and less ear piercinghighs.

.

Dirac is a wweird system. Think it has tons of great stuff but is finnicky and requires a few small changes to make it awesome as long as your not needing huge low bass
