I've done some looking around and haven't found too much info relative to my goal.
My wife's '11 E90 is finally getting a set of summer shoes and I would like to lower it, but only just a little. It's a Canadian 323i, as far as I know the suspension is similar to/same as the base suspension in a 328i RWD.
All I want to do is balance the front to rear wheel gaps, meaning whatever I install should lower the rear a minimal amount if at all, and only drop the front by 1/2" to 3/4" or so. The reason for this = Wife's car. I don't want her being worried about driving it because it's too low. Most lowering springs I'm aware of will drop it more than an inch front and rear, that's too far.
Coil overs are a no-go. Not interested in maintaining cheapie coil overs, and expensive ones are out of the budget.
The solution has to be something that will ride well and not upset the balance of the car. Near stock would be a good target, but I understand that the lower you go the stiffer things get. If possible I would like to leave the stock bump stops in place and untrimmed.
Any suggestions?
